Do you like to daydream? Do you like to imagine that you are a big star? Or maybe, you like to pretend that you are in a tropical paradise surrounded by palm trees. Possibilities are endless when you daydream. You can finally have everything you want when you daydream. If you daydream too much, though, someone might accuse of having your head in the clouds.
When you have your head in the clouds, this means that you are imagining impossible things. For sure, having your head in the clouds is fun for a little while. Everyone likes to imagine getting their big break and becoming very successful. To make your dreams come true, though, you are supposed to have your feet on the ground and work really hard. Be a doer, not a dreamer!
Kelsey and Andy are convinced their movie is going to make them famous. Watch as Nestor tries to get their head out of the clouds in today’s English lesson.

Andy_H: Hey! You didn’t start watching it yet, did you?
Kelsey: I’m so excited! I can’t believe we get to watch some of the movie we made. It’s going to be great! We had so much fun, and now, we made a movie together. And people are going to watch it. And now that you’re here, we can watch it… finally.
Andy_H: Oh, I thought we were supposed to wait for Nestor.
Kelsey: Can’t we just start it now? Aren’t you excited?
Andy_H: For sure! Kind of. Yes, maybe. I’m nervous. But excited.
Kelsey: This could be our big break, and we could all become stars!
Andy_H: Oh, I guess I didn’t think of that.
Nestor: Get your head out of the clouds.
Kelsey: We’d all move to Hollywood….
Andy_H: Oh! I could have my name on one of those giant stars.
Kelsey: It’ll be so warm.
Andy_H: I could pitch my detective series.
Kelsey: Palm trees.
Andy_H: Parties.
Kelsey: The beach.
Andy_H: Possibilities!
Kelsey: The fun!
Nestor: OK, you both have your heads in the clouds. Please, come back to reality!
Kelsey: I don’t want my head in the clouds. I want my head in sunny, blue skies!
Andy_H: That does sound nice.
Nestor: Just keep your feet on the ground for now… please.
Kelsey: You’re right. Palm trees!
Andy_H: Possibili-trees!

Kelsey is very excited to watch the movie she made with Andy and Nestor. She had a ton of fun making it. Now that Andy has arrived, they can finally watch it. Andy is a little nervous about watching it. Kelsey thinks that the movie could be their big break, and they could become stars.
Nestor tells Andy and Kelsey to get their heads out of the clouds. They don’t listen to him, though. They continue to daydream about Hollywood stars, palm trees, and parties. Andy could even pitch his detective series. Nestor, again, tells them to come back to reality and keep their feet on the ground.
How often do you have your head in the clouds? What is your biggest dream?
