>“GfbV” says that in Central Africa meanwhile about 2/3 of the people are controlled by militant criminals instead of the real government or the governmental military. The situation in these 2/3 is so chaotic that criminals commit crimes like theft, kidnapping and even murder in places like churches and hospitals that actually should be areas where people feel save. Just this July and August 215.000 people even got displaced by these militant groups I talked about before.
>>“GfbV” says that after this incident two weeks ago when in Gambo in Central Africa 5 European members of the Red Cross got murdered, they – I’m talking about “GfbV” – sent a letter to the UN. They want the latter to call the murder of helpers like these a crime against humanity.

“Domradio” says that the UN now are going to donate 634 millions of dollars – of which 430 millions are to be donated immediately – to a state in Central-Africa that is especially threatened by the terrorist organisation Boko Haram who frequently cause their crimes in this area. Also recently the citizens of this region have been suffering due to a famine.

“Domradio” says that since President Francois Bozizé was toppled by the Séléka-Militia in March 2013, the Central-African Republic has faced chaos and violence. This week alone about 30 politically-motivated murders happened. Most of these killings were committed by Christian or Islamic militant groups. In addition to that both are accused of having committed crimes against humanity other than murder. In September 2014 the UN participated in a mission by the African Union that was supposed to stabilize this republic. As it seems they failed.

“Domradio” says that the Pope will give financial support to the building of a childrens’ hospital in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic.

Re-uploads:
When I went to church last Sunday, they spread some leaflets there concerning the disease Buruli ulcer and an aid-organization that helps patients: When we think of deadly diseases that threaten hundreds of people in Africa each year, most of us think of HIV, Ebola, malaria, yellow fever or leprosy. Due to the fact that so little is known about how this disease is transmitted and also due to this disease usually not killing the infected person, Buruli ulcer is ignored by most media. However our church community decided that this disease as well as the organization that helps patients should mentioned nonetheless:
Buruli ulcer weakens the immune system and dissolves soft tissue to the point of the infected person either being dead – due to the immune system not being able to fend off diseases anymore – or paralysed – due to too much tissue being destroyed – or scarred. Combinations are also possible.
Anyway the tricky thing is that this disease doesn’t cause any pain. Not even children find this disease in any way painful. Thus they usually don’t discover that something is wrong until it is too late. Then even if you find out that something isn’t right and you rush to the closest doctor, you have to be very lucky in a country like Central Africa – where most cases are reported – if you get to a doctor who is skilled enough to recognize this as Buruli ulcer, if the doctor wants to see you immediately and if there is a hospital nearby that has the gadgets and the skilled stuff needed to treat you.

According to the website where I found it, this is a former street child living in the Central African Republic. Fortunately he has now a chance of education and a better life. If you want to know more about street children in this area you definetly should visit this website “http://www.merlin.org.uk/Where-we-work/Central-African-Republic.aspx”. There you even get the chance to get involved if you want to.

“Domradio” says that in the Central-African Republic around 50% of its citizens depend on aid by the state which is also bad because due to corruption and violations of human rights in the past as well as recent cases in which the Central-African government neglected some cities and preferred aiding the others many people start losing trust in this government.
In a situation like this it is very worrying that ordinary citizens achieve guns they get from militant groups in Congo.
Right now Central-Africa counts 500.000 refugees and 1.000 victims of riots and political fights.
Even the agricultural sector – which in most LDCs is the strongest sector – isn’t doing too well. People get ousted by opposing groups and doing agricultural work has become unpopular and undesirable as people consider it as risky to live in an urban, underpopulated area with rioting and fighting militant groups straying around everywhere.
Due to this difficult situation many aid-organizations are overstrained and don’t do more than emergency-aid.
The only organization that does more than just that right now is the “Welthungerhilfe” – Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e.V. Sparkasse KölnBonn Conto: 1115 IBAN: DE15370501980000001115 BIC: COLSDE33.

An article that appeared this Thursday in the German newspaper “Südwest Presse” says that contrary to common belief the people poaching rhinos and elephants in Africa often are not poor men who have no alternatives, but warlords, militant extremists and militias opposing their government and even corrupt, politically active people who hope to earn enough money through the trade with ivory to get more influence.
Nor are they stupid people who wouldn’t hurt a thing and due to their low IQ and uneducated state don’t understand the harm they do by shooting elephants. There have been numerous cases in which they killed gamekeepers – in Congo for example it is said that poachers murder one gamekeeper per month – by setting well-planned traps and ambushes. In addition to that they seem to be well-educated when it comes to firearms. In some carcasses they found bullets belonging to some of the most modern semi-automatic guns a citizen can buy and in some cases rangers even saw these poachers with their supply of modern weapons – which by the way doesn’t only disprove the idea of poachers being uneducated and not knowing anything about the world as they obviously have profound knowledge of the gun-industry, but the fact that they have the money to buy a whole arsenal of some of the most modern weapons also disproves the idea of them being poor.
Anyway Central-Africa is heading towards an economical disaster, because of this as they lost 70% of the elephants that were there just one decade ago and of course most tourists visit this country just to see the elephants, meaning no elephants equals hard times for the tourism-branch.
