John

Migs:  Who did you like better this weekend, Live or Counting Crows?

John:  Definitely the Crows.

Migs:  Why?

John:  Because, I know all their songs.

Migs:  Didn’t you know all the cool songs by Live, too?

John:  I knew a couple of them.

Migs:   Did you sing along with their most famous one with everybody else?

John:  No!

Migs:  Why not?

John:  Because, I’m not a dork. There were people around me. I don’t want them to listen to, listen to my bad voice.

Migs:   Well, your voice does suck, but I mean, I sang along and my voice sucks, too.

John:  Ok, Pavarotti. So, wasn’t it cool at the end when they both came out and they were singing together?

Migs:  That was amazing. There must have been, like, 25 people on that stage.

John:  Were you up, jammin’ out?

Migs:  I was dancing, I was jumping around, I was going crazy!

John:  Yeah, we were sitting up above you. I was watching you the whole time. You looked pretty good!

Migs:  (laughs) Yeah, right. Thanks a lot.

John:  We should go to more of those. Do you know when the next concert is?

Migs:  Um, Pearl Jam is a couple weeks from now.

Discussion

Migs and I are talking about how much fun the concert was. In this conversation, we tease each other a little bit about our singing and dancing abilities. It’s very common for good friends to tease each other. For example, Migs tells me that I should have been singing because he was. My response was to call him Pavarotti, the famous opera singer, because he was acting like he had a good voice, when we really doesn’t. This is a common way to tease someone. Both the Counting Crows and Live are great bands. Check them out when you have time! Do you like these bands? Are there others you like more? Come to the “Music” message board and tell everyone about it! Until next week, —John Row3” src=”../../Test/newhome1/shim.gif” width=”1” height=”57” border=”0”>
