It’s that time of year again. It’s time to start planning your summer vacation! Both Derek and Steph have some awesome plans lined up.

Derek

Steph

Derek: So, Steph. Since summer’s coming up, are you gonna be taking a vacation?

Steph: Heck yeah. I’m going on a road trip.

Derek: A road trip. Really? Where?

Steph: Cross-country.

Derek: Just across the whole country?

Steph: Yeah.

Derek: Sounds exciting.

Steph: Yeah. Totally. I’m gonna drive my car and, ya know, it’ll take about 2 and 1/2 weeks. But I’m excited. How about you?

Derek: Um, I might be taking a vacation to New Orleans.

Steph: Ooh. That sounds like fun.

Derek: Yeah. I was there one time, a long time ago, but it was a blast.

Steph: Cool. Are you gonna go out and, um, try to find some action?

Derek: Find some action, some nightlife. Well ya know the city never sleeps so, you never know.

Steph: That’s true. I heard you can find anything you want in New Orleans.

Derek: Pretty much.

Wow! New Orleans sounds like a blast, for sure! It’s fun all year round, not just at Mardi Gras.
I know that I am looking forward to my cross-country trip! I am going with a friend and we are stopping at little towns along the way to play music. It’s gonna be a great time.
