Tanis: I know you play basketball, but did you ever play baseball?

Miguel: That’s a strange question, but I did when I was young, but I gave it up ‘cause I just wasn’t very good.

Tanis: We’ll I was asking ‘cause I saw this really cute movie about baseball the other night, and it made me think of all my athletic guy friends.

Miguel: What movie was that?

Tanis: Well, you’re gonna make fun of me.

Miguel: Uh, probably so.

Tanis: It was Summer Catch.

Miguel: Not the one with Freddie Prinze Jr.[/def]?

Tanis: Uh, yeah!

Miguel: Okay, so, there has to be a story. Why did you watch that?

Tanis: Well, um, my boyfriend and I were watching his little brother and sister who are pre- teenagers and they wanted it.

Miguel: Okay, okay, right, right. So, is it a good movie or what?

Tanis: Actually, it’s a lot better than the other Freddie Prinze work I’ve seen.

Miguel: So, what are it’s redeeming qualities?

Tanis: Oh, you know, it was kind of like the, there were good-looking people in it. That’s probably really it.

Miguel: Are there good looking girls too or just Freddie? I know you love Freddie.

Tanis: No, I think Freddy is gross, but the girl was really pretty.

Freddie Prinze Jr. wanted to be a baseball player in the movie Summer Catch. Baseball is a popular sport in America. It was invented in the late 1800s and became popular in the 1920s. Baseball players such as Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb help make baseball popular and were listed in baseball’s Hall of Fame in 1936.
Baseball is called America’s favorite pastime. It’s fun to go to a baseball game in the summertime and have hotdogs and popcorn. Baseball is a fun sport to play with your friends. There are many baseball diamonds in parks. You just need to bring a baseball, a bat, and some mitts.
